What’s Driving Your Communication—Strategy or Habit?

I wish I had figured this out sooner. I spent years saying all the right things… in all the wrong ways. No one ever shouted at me, “Hey, structure matters just as much as your message!” So I am shouting it at your now. Why? Game-changer. Structure isn’t stiff—it’s the strategy behind every email, meeting, and sales call that actually moves things forward.

Now What?

This is one of the most common frustrations I hear from clients:

“We crushed the meeting… and now nothing.”

“They agreed to move forward, but now I’m chasing them like it’s a game of tag.”

Here’s the deal—it’s not the client, it’s the close. If you didn’t clearly communicate what’s next, you left the door wide open for delay, distraction, or disconnect. According to McKinsey, 76% of buyers expect a seamless and proactive communication experience across every touchpoint. If your message didn’t drive action, it’s likely collecting digital dust. Structure isn’t a “nice to have”—it’s your sales accelerator. Let’s give you some structure to make your life easier and your success soar.

Structure Isn’t Boring.
It’s Your Secret Weapon.

Repeatable = Consistent.

Consistent = Confident.

Confident = Closed deals.

✉️ 1. Structure Your Emails for Response

Let’s be real—no one’s reading your 7-paragraph masterpiece with all the attachments.

✔️ Start with value: Lead with what they care about

✔️ Bullet it out: If it’s hard to scan, it’s hard to sell

✔️ One CTA, make it clear:

“Let me know what works”

“Can you meet Wednesday at 10am or Thursday at 3pm?”

Emails with one strong CTA = 371% more clicks and 161% more sales. (Wordstream)

📅 2. Meetings Need More Than a Meh Agenda

“Let’s just talk through a few things” is not a strategy.

🧭 Treat your meeting like a story with structure:

  • Start: Why we’re here & what we’re solving
  • Middle: Collaborate, ask, solve
  • End: Who’s doing what by when

💬 Want more buy-in?

Swap “Any thoughts?” with “What’s one thing you’d change or improve?”

🗣️ 3. Sell With Your Words AND Your Nonverbal

Because “just checking in” energy isn’t closing anything.

📊 93% of communication is nonverbal—so act like it.

• Sit up. Smile. Pause like a pro.

• Write like a closer:

“I think…”

“Let’s move forward with…”

🧠 Power phrase swaps:

  • “Just wanted to follow up…” → “To move this forward…”
  • “I was hoping…” → “Based on what we discussed…”
  • “Checking to see…” → “Let’s lock in next steps…”

Structure isn’t just a sales tactic—it’s your competitive edge. Whether you’re crafting emails, leading meetings, or sealing deals, intentional communication turns interactions into conversions.

MY CURRENT FAVES

LISTENING: Higher– Empowerment, groove, and unapologetic confidence. Yes, please.

TRENDING: “Show up, don’t just check in.” – My current mantra for every meeting, email, and client touchpoint. Put it on a sticky note. Trust me.

WATCHING: The Residence (Netflix) – Think White House meets murder mystery with a dash of juicy drama. It’s bold, twisty, and totally binge-worthy.

QUOTE: “Spring is the season that reminds you: growth looks messy before it looks beautiful.”
