“You are a Wendy!”
I get this a lot and I love it :)
Wendy is a character off of the show Billions. Her job as an in-house performance coach is to keep the fiercely brilliant and ambitious young executives of the firm functioning at peak power. The boss, Bobby Axelrod, played by Damian Lewis, sees her as one of the most valuable assets of his firm.
Wendy is a person the team can go to.
A client recently asked me “Who do you call to be better at your job?”
“Wendy?” I replied as I’m always being associated with her.
“Amy!” he said.
That’s exactly what I do.
Hi, I’m Amy
I’m the founder of Sales & Presence, a power skills (also known as “soft skills” or “human skills”) and sales trainer, an author, a speaker and passionate about bringing the art of sales and communication together for businesses to create optimal success.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with prominent organizations worldwide, as well as smaller organizations, inspiring individuals, and various associations.
I’ve helped numerous sales teams achieve their goals and non-sales related teams leverage sales and communication techniques to make a lasting impact.
Prior to founding Sales & Presence, I was a respected high-level Senior Sales Executive in corporate sales for 17 years. I’ve earned countless awards and was ranked within the top ten in the company. Needless to say, I’ve learned things the hard way, but this great experience has equipped me with the tools and know-how to help others succeed while avoiding the common pitfalls and demotivating practices.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, had some extensive business and sales training, and I’m certified in nonverbal communications. I’m also a certified virtual trainer.
As an author, in my book So, You’re in Sales, I share some of my practical tips and push the readers outside their comfort zone while helping them develop a new sales perspective.
When I’m not in a training or coaching session, I’m travelling the world delivering keynotes and shifting mindsets. Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of addressing audiences ranging from thousands of individuals to intimate gatherings of a dozen executives.
What makes me stand out? I’m a trusted partner, which is why every step I take is deeply personal and tailor-made to align perfectly with your unique objectives. My success is intricately linked to yours.
Beyond the Bio
I’ve got three life gurus under one roof: Destin, a youthful 3-year-old Maltipoo; Emerson, a seasoned 13-year-old Miniature Poodle; and the wise Garfield, a charming Tabby cat. Together, they’re a dynamic team teaching me the secrets of life, one furry lesson at a time!
I’m classically trained in vocal and gained my college scholarship on that from 3rd grade through.
My first time in New York I sang in Carnegie Hall!
I was born with Congenital Heart Disease and have undergone three open-heart surgeries, the first two when I was six months and two years old. A big heart can conquer anything life throws our way.
I’ve been proudly living the vegetarian life for 24 years and counting – a plant-powered journey that’s transformed my plate and nourished my soul!
I’d love to own a sanctuary farm someday…
If I had to change career, I’d become an Aircraft Marshall 😊
The Marshals use various hand signals and visual cues to communicate with the pilots and ensure safe and efficient movement on the flight deck or runway. Hmm… I bet you can find some similarities to what I’m actually doing in my work.
At 15, I fearlessly donned the maid’s cape, cleaning up a hotel with a teenage superhero flair.
I run on coffee and salty snacks, but when it comes to priorities, coffee reigns supreme in my caffeinated kingdom!
I’ve got two half marathons under my running belt. I’ve conquered magical miles through Walt Disney World and raced with the island breeze in Malta.
